Sell Them Value – The Missing Element Of What Closes Sales 2

Learn To Listen To What Value Your Customer Is Most Interested In:
Over-selling is just plainly a waste of a customer’s time, and will be frustrating in most cases, as it should be. One of the biggest keys to what closes sales is knowing how to listen, and it’s an art sales people cannot overlook. If you have no clue what to sell, then you won’t sell a thing.

If in doubt, ask: What is most important to you in (enter product or service type)? How can I help you find what you’re looking for?

Always Be Accurate, Honest And Positive:
Don’t lie, fudge the truth or bash your competitors, no matter how far you think you’ll get. When lying becomes what closes sales for you, you need to get out of sales. You’ll lose business, as you should, and your repeat customers will dwindle to nothing, which they should. If you want sales and good business, then you need to be honest.

If what you’re selling doesn’t meet the customer’s needs, it’s best to be up front about it rather than take their money only to have them refund what you’ve sold. It’s a great way to get yourself blacklisted, and may reflect on your close ratio. Remember: people love service, so give it to them.
